|In the F2 vs. F1 matrix display, vowels map in characteristic areas of the screen, and words have general shapes, determined by their phonemic components. In addition to vowel information, this display can help communicate other elements of speech, such as the distortion of an /r/ or presence or absence of an /s/ or other high frequency sound. Target models can be created prior to a therapy session and stored for later use or produced as part of the session itself. The therapist can ask the speaker to try to match the model or to erase it with the Gobble game's live feedback. She can also switch between the Matrix and Temporal representations of the target at any time. Cartoon animations reward scores above the defined goal in all formant displays. Vowel symbol positions can be adjusted for dialectical or voice characteristic differences. The symbols can also be removed from the screen entirely, individually or the entire set.|
